Geometric Algebra (GA) - Clifford Algebra - (𝑝,𝑞,𝑟)
- is an extension of elementary algebra to work with geometrical objects such as vectors
- is built out of two fundamental operations:
- addition
- geometric product
- refer to vector spaces on which the exterior product and geometric product are both defined
- the signature (𝑝,𝑞,𝑟) of a geometric algebra tells you what happens when you multiply basis vectors by themselves under the geometric product. The triplet (𝑝,𝑞,𝑟) means that:
- 𝑝 basis vectors square to +1
- 𝑞 basis vectors square to −1
- 𝑟 basis vectors square to 0
- is the unification of exterior algebra and quaternion algebra
- is a unified language of mathematics and physics
